Hello from Outer Space

No I didn’t get lost just took a wrong turn in Nevada, ( was singing Long Way for a while afterward) I wasn’t abducted by aliens as some of you thought. I was with the Coachmen for a weekend. We had one crazy Saturday night of  awesome jamming music that was memorable (at least in my mind). We even tried to re-create our single “Maybe time… ” just for fun. Michelle sang Dan’s part.

We play it really loud

Terry handed out earplugs this year. What did you say? I bitched about it and got the shit level where Tom and Robyn barely played just to give me shit. I deserved it though. Did I really think after 44 years that we could actually turn it down. Just a warning to future reunion venues. We play it loud!

Jon and Michelle sing while Terry plays bass guitar

And you know Dan was watching us and laughing. I thought I noticed him once near the ceiling wearing earplugs.

Pretty funny about playing real quiet to take the piss. Boogie on!!!!

Dan was maybe wearing earplugs, but, definitely singing along. The music doesn’t stop. It’s up there, beyond the ceiling, in outerspace. Glad you guys keep bringing it all together!!

It was a GREAT weekend in the Colorado Rockies! Special thanks to Robyn & Lynn for hosting! Michelle really nailed Dan’s part on ‘Maybe Time’. Listening to her and Jon harmonize brought some tears to everyone’s eyes. Yes, they were that good. Hopefully, some of the recordings Terry is working on will turn out good enough to publish, sustaining the pleasant memories I hold of this event. What we’re sharing together, is magical. I feel very blessed, to be part of it.

Jon, I love you brother! But you know I can never turn it down. :-) Peace Coachmen (which I think we all agree, now offically includes Michelle). Until next time…..

One of “these days”, I want to sit in and groove with you guys! Have I earned the right to be a groupie? Terry, you better get a Basement Tapes, Part II put together and quickly! :-)

I’d love to see you guys play one of the old Coachmen songs live. Maybe in Peoria at one of the future gatherings???? Wishfully thinking… Love you guys! Jon, have fun out there on the road.
